In this project, I played with the idea of conceptual integration. I wanted to explore how humans intake and then process information. To probe my idea further, I picked one informational system that is constantly changing, the weather. I created the O-Machine, (Objective-information-Machine), a device that will transmit weather data through light. The device using Http servers will receive current weather data, then it will light up with one of three colors yellow, grey, or blue each of which indicate if it is sunny, overcast, or raining. After it indicates weather conditions, it will then shine one of three shades of red to display the current temperature. This device simplifies how weather data is received and allows the user to clearly understand the current weather condition outside their doorway. The device is made out of an aluminum tube which house a neo-pixel and a Particle computer.
