Project Info
This is a project that I collaborated on with my good friends Nathan Logan and Drew Tomao. We wanted to create a donation project that we would build and give to a local organization. We decided to build a project for the San Francisco School, where Nathan and I attended. Our task was to design succulent planter boxes that would be weatherproof and also childsafe. These planter boxes would be hung on a recently painted mural done on a wall of a shed. We used a ¾ “ redwood frame, insuring its water resistance. We then designed a 1’ equilateral triangle top out of acrylic, which would also be water resistant and appealing to children. To ensure child safety, we assembled the planter box using jointing techniques and glue to minimize any sharp screws or nails from protruding.
