Project Info
For this project, the objective was to design a container/box specific to a product and its use for it. This could be an existing packaging that needed a redesign, or a new conceptual box. I took it in the new conceptual route. One issue I saw as a consumer, is purchasing fries from Mcdonald’s not being able to easily eat the fries and dipping sauce while on the go. My design is a fries container, much like their other menu item containers, that incorporates a sauce holder next to where the fries are kept. This ensures easy consuming of the fries
and dipping sauce. After several design iterations and construction methods, I created a single folded box that adequately holds the fries and sauce. The physical box is made out of bristol board paper, with graphics created in Adobe Illustrator. This project is a conceptual of a Mcdonald’s product and was not created under the supervision or sanction of Mcdonald’s. All intellectual property belongs to the Mcdonald’s corporation.
